Starting Rate: $22.2248/hr +DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Job Summary
The Facilities Specialist role is responsible for supporting multiple aspects of overall facilities operations to ensure optimal functioning of building systems. The position works closely with the Facilities Manager and Senior Facilities Coordinator to achieve department and organizational goals.
The Facilities Specialist must be able to perform hands-on repair, installation and maintenance tasks successfully, while meeting all company standards for organization and sustainable operations. The Facilities Specialist is required to demonstrate the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demands at multiple sites across Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center, while providing excellent customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist Facilities Manager and Senior Facilities Coordinator in coordinating facilities, facilities operations, repair and preventive maintenance responsibilities either by completing the work alone or with third party contractors and vendors
Be the primary driver for the mobile medical clinic including occasional evening and weekend work
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with external service vendors
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clinic managers and staff to understand needs and resolve issues
Coordinate building vendor access
Maintain professional appearance and safe conditions of buildings
Maintain facilities tools, equipment and materials in good order and keep an active inventory of facilities assets
Perform other duties as needed or assigned
HIPAA Requirements
Handle protected information (PHI) in a manner consistent with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) The Facilities Specialist may be exposed to PHI in the course of his/her duties. All employees are required to read the content of PHI records only to the extent needed to redirect the information to the proper source or responsible party.

Education and Experience Required
High school diploma/GED, bachelor’s degree is a plus
Minimum three (3) years’ experience in facilities maintenance or related field
Experience with construction trades, carpentry, plumbing
Knowledge of tools, building materials, methods of problem solving
Valid Oregon driver’s license, reliable transportation, safe driving record and insurance coverage required
Desired Attributes

Experience with architectural drawings, floor plans and related software
Experience with panel systems furniture and modular commercial storage systems
Spanish speaking skills
