Team members are encouraged to contribute their expertise, grow professionally, and participate in a supportive environment that values ethical, client-centered practice.Role Description This is a contract, hybrid Community Based Therapist role located in Indianapolis, IN, with a combination of in-person community visits and some work from home for documentation and virtual sessions. The Community Based Therapist will provide individual and family therapy in homes, schools, and community settings, using evidence-based interventions to address mental health, behavioral, and social needs. Daily responsibilities include completing intake assessments, developing treatment plans, conducting ongoing therapy sessions, coordinating care with community partners, and maintaining timely, accurate clinical documentation. The therapist will engage in regular communication with caregivers and multidisciplinary teams, participate in case consultations or supervision, and respond to client needs with flexibility and professionalism. The role requires consistent adherence to ethical guidelines, agency policies, and applicable state regulations, while maintaining appropriate boundaries and a person-centered approach.Qualifications License-eligible or licensed mental health professional (e.g., LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent in Indiana), or master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related field.Demonstrated experience providing individual and/or family therapy in community, home-based, school-based, or outpatient settings.Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and use of evidence-based and trauma-informed interventions.Ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds, using culturally responsive and inclusive practices.Comfort working in the community, including in client homes and other non-traditional settings, with reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR), clinical documentation, and basic technology for telehealth and remote work.Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills for working with clients, caregivers, schools, and community partners.Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage a flexible schedule and maintain professional boundaries in a hybrid environment.Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and ongoing professional development; experience or training in crisis intervention is a plus.Bilingual or multilingual abilities are beneficial but not required.
