General Shop Hand

Nesco Resource is currently sourcing a Saw Operator/General Shop Hand for our client in Chesterfield, MI. Shift Options: Monday–Friday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (10-hour shift) or 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (8-hour shift) Saturdays: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM (as needed) Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour Job Responsibilities: Perform general labor duties in a machine shop environment Clean parts and deburr welded components using electric hand grinders Operate an electric saw to cut steel materials (enclosed saw) Use measuring instruments (tape measures, calipers, etc.) to verify dimensions Inspect parts for quality and accuracy Operate overhead crane and hi-lo (forklift) as needed Assist with various tasks based on production needs and experience Requirements: Reliable, honest, and hardworking Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team Comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment Ability to lift up to 30 lbs without assistance Excellent punctuality and attendance Crane and hi-lo experience preferred
