Controller
Finding the right fit:
The Administrative Director/Controller will oversee and manage all accounting activities within the company. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting, particularly within consulting, and will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to financial management. This position will be based out of the Eau Claire, Wisconsin office location. First-round interviews for the selected candidates will be held the week of October 7th in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
At least ten years of direct accounting or finance experience in a multi-office environment
Supervisory experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
The ability to lead projects
Excellent MSOffice knowledge and skills
Ability to travel to various offices to train, review and/or audit
Desired skills and experiences:
Master’s degree
Certified Public Accountant license
Deltek vision experience
Financial software implementation experience
Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) experience
On any given day, you’ll:
Be responsible for the establishment, monitoring and enforcement of the internal control review process and ensures a constant process improvement to the audit control procedures
Accept responsibility for the management of outside audits and works with outside auditors to identify variance in quarterly data analysis
Prepare the monthly financial statement
Analyze reports and financial data
Oversee and review processes and duties managed by Accounting Supervisors or others assigned to daily entry
Ensure compliance with GAAP and FAR best practices
Be responsible for revenue review, annual budget, cash flow and business plans, cash flow forecasts and reports, final overhead cost analysis schedules and reporting financial information to the CFO
Review and oversee the operation of all accounting systems such as: project costing, billing, budgeting, fixed assets, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash, cash books, state licensing and regulation and payroll
Assume responsibility for contract review related to mergers and acquisitions
Act as the system administrator for accounting software (Vision) – creates reports, revises data input forms and is the liaison between the company and Deltek Vision.
Lead the upgrade/implementation of Deltek VantagePoint
Conduct training sessions with project managers, accounting staff and others
Direct the activities of the accounting staff and assigns duties as needed
Provide ad hoc reporting or analysis to support the strategic initiatives of the company
