Solution Architect (Core Java)

Solution Architect Location: 100% Remote (on EST)Duration: 1 year open-ended Contract (long-term, no contract maximum)Project Details:You will be joining the Insights Team, which is the biggest initiative under the Digital Group. Insights is a Big Data / Analytics Platform.You will be part of an expert level team that requires a more broad spectrum of knowledge than the rest of the teams within Insights.Your responsibilities will include:-Design, code reviews, provide best practices to the teams (not a heads down development role but there will be some development)-Support for 6-7 developer teams within Insights across the globe (Asia and Europe), help with architecture and augmenting teams-Support for customers/clients on U.S. hours, fulfill tickets that are escalated to the teamLooking for experienced/sr level candidates who are architecture focused with:Full stack developmentSolution architectureCore Java/Spring experiencePython experienceKubernetes experience (2 of 3 openings must be filled with someone who has hands-on Kubernetes experience, for 1 of 3 openings - if no Kubernetes experience must have Docker experience)Front end JS framework experience (experience with at least one of the following: Angular, React, Vue)Experience working in microservices based web applicationsExperience working in cloud environments (general experience with at least one of the following: Azure, AWS)Other highly desirable skillsets. Must have experience with at least 1 or 2 of the following as well:Expertise around web application authentication/authorization services and securityExpertise in event driven architecturesExpertise in data analytics/big dataExpertise in micro-frontend (MFE) architectureExpertise in enterprise level APIs and API management systems (documentation/self-service)Expertise in test driven development and automated testing frameworksRequired Skills: 1. solution architecture 2. core Java development background 3. some Python 4. Kubernetes 5. Javascript framework experience (Angular, Vue.js or React.js) 6. Cloud (Azure or AWS)
