The Assistant City Clerk's Office is responsible for supporting Board and Commissions with the recruitment and selection process and City Council/Stadium Authority agenda process, including compliance with all federal, state, and local statutes. The Assistant City Clerk's Office maintains City records and responds to public records requests. The Assistant City Clerk's Office assists the City Clerk with conducting the municipal elections. The Assistant City Clerk's Office is your partner in democracy.This position will perform customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering the phones, monitoring the Clerk email inbox, and assisting customers at the front counter. Additional duties include sorting and distributing mail, assisting with Public Records Requests, assisting with the City's Boards and Commissions processes, tracking ethics training, assisting with finance account payables/receivables, and records management in Laserfiche, Zyfind, and Corodota.Applications must be filled out completely (e.g. do not write "see resume, NA, or personnel file."). Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.Acceptable Substitution: NoneLicense/Certifications: NoneDesirable Qualifications: Computer proficiency using databases is desirable. Bilingual skills desirable (Spanish preferred).Special Conditions: Incumbents of this classification may be required to work unusual hours and weekends in the performance of their duties.Other Requirements: Must be able to perform all of the essential functions of the job assignment.Federal law requires all employees to provide verification of their eligibility to work in this country.
