Avionics Technician

DPP is seeking an Avionics Technician IV for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace & Defense industry.Work location: Fully onsite in Hagerstown, MDDuration: 12 monthsTerm: W2 positionWork authorization: US Citizen; Candidates must be eligible to earn a Secret US security clearance.Position description: As an Avionics Technician IV, you will be using your skills and expertise to perform avionics maintenance according to FCC, FAA and company policies and regulations.You'll be responsible for moderately complex installation, testing, troubleshooting and repair of avionics components, and maintenance of test equipment, tools, and manualsEducation: High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 10 or more years of relevant experienceA higher-level degree may substitute for experienceRelated experience may be considered in lieu of requiredExperience: Must be able to demonstrate experience with terminating the following connector types:COAXCIR-MILRJ-45 NetworkD-SUBRequired knowledge and skills: Must have own tools in good working orderAbility to understand and interpret moderately complex, technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications; ability to route wires per technical drawingsAdvanced skills with moderately complex avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, wiring installation, soldering' and crimping techniques.
