Summary: Seeking a Structural Engineer with expertise in structural design and analysis to support lift planning and execution projects.
This is a Lift planning role supporting Midwest project needs through lift plans, rigging details, transport studies, site reviews, and engineering design documentation.
Requirements:
Experience with lift planning, heavy lift, rigging, or related project planning
Experience preparing lift plans and rigging details
Experience using lift planning software
Experience reviewing reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, manufacturer data, aerial photographs, and site data
Experience preparing reports, calculations, specifications, plans, and project designs
Knowledge of lifting, transport, and specialty rigging studies
Ability to attend job walks and site visits to gather project data
Ability to assess project feasibility based on site conditions, equipment requirements, terrain, and project scope
Experience using computer-assisted engineering and design software
Ability to support onsite project execution when required
Ability to coordinate across departments to align work with project scope and plans
Preferred Skills:
Experience with complex heavy haul projects
Experience with site transport planning
Experience with gantry work
Experience with jack-and-slide projects
Experience with equipment design
Experience supporting client liaison activities
Experience working with topographical, hydrological, geologic, and terrain data
Experience supporting field supervisors and crews during project execution
Responsibilites:
Support everyday lift planning needs across Midwest projects
Plan, design, and support projects with cost-effective and safe lift planning solutions
Analyze reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, manufacturer data, aerial photographs, terrain data, hydrological data, topographical data, and geologic data
Attend job walks and site visits to determine project feasibility
Gather site data for accurate project plan development
Prepare lift plans and rigging details using data from sales teams and lift planning software
Prepare reports, calculations, specifications, plans, and project designs
Develop lifting, transport, and specialty rigging studies
Ensure project documents comply with internal procedures, external requirements, customer requirements, and best practices
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure project execution aligns with scope and project plans
Use engineering and design software to prepare project documents
Attend job executions when needed to verify plans are followed
Support site supervisors and crews during project completion
