Field Service TechnicianPosition OverviewThe Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical components within semi-automated parking systems. This role ensures reliable system performance, timely response to service calls, and adherence to safety and quality standards across all assigned sites.The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician with strong troubleshooting abilities, mechanical and electrical aptitude, and excellent communication skills. This position requires working collaboratively with subcontractors on active construction sites and interacting directly with residents and property representatives. A friendly, professional demeanor and a proactive approach to real-time problem solving are essential to success in this role.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstand all elements of semi and fully-automated parking systemsTroubleshoot, repair, install parking system componentsImplement tests to ensure all components are working correctlyEducating clients on how to use and maintain parking systemPerform maintenance and provide customer supportDiagnose problems and come up with solutions to repair themOrder parts needed for repairs if neededFill out detailed reports and keep records on services that have been performedExplain issues with equipment and repairs to customersBuild and maintain relationships with customersOn call: The Field Service Technician will respond to user/building management requests for service ASAPOther duties as assignedQualifications At least 2 years of experience servicing mechanical and/or electrical equipmentAutomobile, motorcycle, or aviation mechanic experience or similar is validAbility to read blueprints and electrical wiring diagrams as neededAbility to work flexible hours and work around a changing scheduleExcellent communication, interpersonal and diagnostic skillsWorking knowledge of the tools and equipment needed for the jobExperience with basic mechanical hand tools, multimeter, etc.Ability to work independently without much supervisionMust be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which include bending, lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.Valid driver's license and reliable transportationAbility to effectively manage time
