This role ensures that molten metal is produced safely, efficiently, and in accordance with production specifications and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all melting operations and furnaces Monitor and control melt chemistry, temperature, and timing to meet product specifications Coordinate production schedules with casting and finishing departments Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies Supervise, train, and evaluate melt shop personnel Troubleshoot melting issues, including furnace performance and metal defects Manage raw material usage, scrap selection, and alloy additions Track and optimize energy consumption and production efficiency Maintain accurate records of melt data, quality results, and production output Collaborate with quality control teams to resolve metallurgical issues
