Line Cook/Prep Cook
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in the kitchen. As a Line Cook, you will work closely with the executive chef and ownership to play a crucial role in food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring that every dish meets our restaurant's level of standards. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety practices and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Assist with menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
Participate in catering events as needed, providing high-quality food service.
Uphold fine dining standards in food presentation and service.
Experience
Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or catering environment.
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cooking methods.
Experience in menu planning or culinary arts is a plus.
Experience in preparing and cooking for catered events in a plus.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
