Foreperson

Position SummaryA Foreperson coordinates operations and oversees tree crew personnel. This position provides management and leadership to a tree crew while performing assigned jobs. The Foreperson communicates with the General Foreperson daily regarding all aspects of the job.Duties and Responsibilities IncludeEssential Duties:Receives and interprets orders for tree trimming and spraying from the General ForepersonPlans and lays out daily work for the crewAssigns work for individual crew members and directs crews in performing workEnforces safe work practices, as experience, judgment, company policy, and OSHA specifiesMaintains accurate records, timesheets, and reports related to the performance of the crew operationsInspects and/or provides repairs to tools, trucks, and other equipmentConducts field training/retraining and instructs crews on new or revised job unitsDuties and responsibilities may change with or without noticeWhat You'll Bring to the Team* Leadership skills* Operate and service all required tools and equipment* Experience with a tree care/maintenance program, including but not limited toOperation of stump grinders, chippers, chipper trucks, bucket trucks, and other tree-related equipment* May be required to pass a DOT physical examination to obtain the appropriate CDL* Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record per Company requirements* Knowledge of essential job functions and responsibilitiesAttention to detailOrganizational skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to problem solveMeet all physical requirements of the positionPass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations18 years of age or older, or 21 if CDL is requiredLegally authorized to work in the United StatesPreferred:* High School Diploma, GED, or HSE* Conversational knowledge of the Spanish languagePlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
