Inclusion Support Counselor - Summer ProgramCamp Fire North ShoreOverview Camp Fire North Shore is seeking compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic Inclusion Support Counselors to support campers with social-emotional, behavioral, and inclusion needs within our Summer Camp programs.This role is designed to bridge the gap between Camp Counselors and Behavioral Technicians by providing direct support to campers who may require additional behavioral, emotional, or individualized support throughout the camp day.Working under the guidance of Behavioral Technicians and Camp Leadership, Inclusion Support Counselors help implement behavior support strategies, promote inclusion, and ensure all campers can successfully participate in the camp experience.CompensationHourly Rate: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.SchedulePart-Time | 25-30 Hours Per Week Monday through FridayTypical Summer Camp Shifts:7:30 AM - 4:00 PM9:00 AM - 5:30 PMSchedules may vary slightly depending on site and program needs.Our Commitment to InclusionCamp Fire North Shore is deeply committed to creating an inclusive environment where all children can participate fully, regardless of ability, learning style, behavioral needs, or background.We believe every child deserves access to meaningful experiences, supportive relationships, and a sense of belonging.All staff are expected to:Support inclusion and belonging for children of all abilitiesImplement individualized support strategies and accommodationsParticipate in behavioral support and inclusion trainingsCollaborate respectfully with families, leadership, and support staffFoster a positive and emotionally safe environmentKey ResponsibilitiesSupport the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all campers, with a focus on those needing additional behavioral or social-emotional supportAssist specific campers (1:1 or small group) in participating in daily camp activitiesHelp campers follow routines, transitions, and group expectationsProvide prompting, redirection, encouragement, and positive reinforcement to support engagement and successFollow behavior support strategies developed by Behavioral Technicians or Camp LeadershipSupport campers in using self-regulation and calming strategiesAssist in de-escalating behaviors using trained support strategiesCommunicate concerns, behavioral patterns, and observations to Behavioral Technicians and leadershipWork closely with Camp Counselors to ensure all campers are included in activitiesCollaborate with Behavioral Technicians for support, guidance, and modelingAssist with toileting, hygiene, or daily living support as neededActively participate in camp activities including games, swim, field trips, and group programmingHelp lead or support activities as neededEnsure campers remain supervised, engaged, and safe at all timesAssist with simple behavior or participation tracking when directedMaintain professionalism, confidentiality, and positive teamworkWho You AreYou are calm, patient, adaptable, and passionate about supporting children of all abilities.You remain composed in challenging situationsYou are supportive, encouraging, and team-orientedYou communicate clearly and respectfullyYou embrace feedback and ongoing learningYou are dependable, engaged, and proactiveYou believe all children deserve to feel included and successfulQualificationsMust be at least 18 years of age.
