*Nurse Practitioner Job Description**Job Summary*We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including primary care, urgent care, and specialty clinics. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and delivering comprehensive care to patients of all ages.*Responsibilities*Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status.Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, including but not limited to gastroenterology, infectious diseases, and behavioral health.Administer treatments such as IV infusions, injections, and botulinum toxin treatments.Perform procedures including suturing, catheterization, spinal taps, and diagnostic evaluations.Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in managing patient care.Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.Utilize EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for patient records management.Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding their conditions and treatment options.Participate in clinical research projects as needed.Engage in telehealth consultations to expand access to care for patients.*Requirements*Current Nurse Practitioner license with relevant certifications.Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or hospital settings preferred.Proficiency in medical terminology and coding (ICD-9/ICD-10/CPT).Familiarity with various EMR/EHR systems is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and infection control practices.Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities.Ability to perform essential nursing skills such as phlebotomy, venipuncture, vital sign assessment, and specimen collection/processing.Commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care environments. Candidates who possess additional skills such as experience in pain management, hospice & palliative medicine, geriatrics, or advanced procedures like cardiac catheterization or neonatal ventilator management will be given preference.
