Power Platform & Copilot Studio Administrator

Job Description The Power Platform & Copilot Studio Administrator is responsible for the secure, scalable, and compliant administration of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio). This role owns tenant governance, environment strategy, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), license management, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) strategy, and platform monitoring. The administrator partners closely with security, compliance, and business stakeholders to enable citizen development safely, standardize best practices, and ensure platform reliability and performance.
Responsibilities Key responsibilities include defining and implementing strategies for Platform Governance & Security, Administration & Operations, Application Lifecycle Management, and AI adoption.
Own and maintain tenant-wide settings and environment strategy for departments and citizens developed solutions within Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio (Dev/Test/Prod, sandbox, and business-unit environments)
Design, implement, and enforce DLP policies for connectors and data classifications; regularly review exceptions and mitigate risk.
Configure Copilot Studio policies including data grounding sources, prompts, plugins/actions, responsible AI guardrails, content moderation, and logging
Administer Copilot Studio including setting up environments, security, channels (Teams, Web, Direct Line), data sources and implementing safety guardrails.
Oversee licensing & capacity (per-user, per-app, pay-as-you-go, Copilot Studio credits, Dataverse database/file/log capacity), and forecast needs.
Design and Implement ALM strategy for managed and unmanaged environments using pipelines and deployment automation
Define standards and templates (solution structure, naming conventions, environments, connectors, data models)
Partner with security and compliance to implement security requirements, protect sensitive data, and configure DLP settings
Enable citizen developers with guardrails, training, office hours, and standardized templates/components
Develop and maintain documentation: platform runbooks, standards, FAQs, and onboarding materials.
Run periodic environment/app reviews and action admin notifications
Review environment inventory, app/flow inventories, usage and activity, solution health
Monitor service health, performance, and limits; proactively resolve incidents and collaborate with Microsoft Support as needed.
Qualifications The successful candidate will demonstrate the following capabilities
3-5 years of experience performing Power Platform tenant administration with certification or equivalent background
Understanding of low code development using Power Apps, Power Automate flows, Dataverse, and Copilot Studio agents
Knowledge of citizens development, ALM strategies, security/compliance, and platform/operations management
Experience with scripting languages and full stack development using programming languages such as Power Shell, Python, and C#
Experience using and automating services for Microsoft 365 and including Power BI, SharePoint, Exchange, Office Apps, Entra Identity, and Microsoft Azure
Deep understanding of AI technology including Large Language Models (LLMs), data grounding and knowledge sources, orchestration, agentic automation, MCP services, and responsible AI guardrails
Understanding of agile project management, good communication, and team collaboration
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $96,720-162,120.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
