Job Title: Controls EngineerLocation: Florida (Onsite)Employment Type: Long Term ContractOverviewControls Engineer responsible for PLC programming, automation support, and equipment validation for production lines. The role focuses on new line installation, process improvement, and integration of vision, laser, and robotic systems across legacy and new equipment.Required Qualifications3+ years of experience in Controls Engineering in manufacturing/packaging environmentsStrong expertise in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens Step 7, Ladder Logic)Experience with HMI systems (Wonderware, FactoryTalk View SE/ME)Hands-on experience with industrial robots (Fanuc, Epson, Mitsubishi, Denso or equivalent)Knowledge of servo systems, motion control, and industrial communication protocolsExperience with Cognex vision systems and industrial laser systemsExposure to equipment validation and legacy system integrationStrong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skillsKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop and modify PLC programs for new line installations and existing equipmentSupport automation projects, including system upgrades and enhancementsPerform equipment validation and ensure compliance with process requirementsWork with vision, laser, and robotic systems for production optimizationTroubleshoot and improve machine performance and reliabilityCollaborate with cross-functional teams for process improvementsSupport training and knowledge transfer on systems and equipment
