Quality Inspector (Faro ARM, 1st Shift)The Quality Inspector performs detailed dimensional and visual inspections on a wide variety of complex parts using Faro ARM, CAD comparison, and precision measuring tools to ensure product conformance. This role works from engineering prints, specifications, and acceptance criteria to verify quality, supporting production in a clean, well-organized shop environment on a MondayFriday day shift.ResponsibilitiesInspect parts and dimensions using engineering prints, tables, specifications, and acceptance criteria to verify that a wide variety of parts meet required standards.Use Faro ARM and CAD comparison tools to perform dimensional analysis and confirm product conformance.Inspect machined parts, materials, components, sheet metal, and composite parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.Perform detailed visual inspections and final inspections to ensure all quality requirements are met before release.Inspect parts ranging from 23 inches up to approximately 8 feet in size, with a focus on smaller but highly complex components.Pivot quickly between different parts and inspection priorities throughout the day based on direction from the Lead or Supervisor.Follow daily priority inspection assignments while remaining flexible as priorities change during the shift.Communicate effectively with engineers, machinists, and other team members to clarify requirements, discuss findings, and support resolution of quality issues.Give and receive feedback constructively to support continuous improvement in inspection processes and product quality.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in alignment with shop floor standards.Essential SkillsHands-on experience using micrometers, calipers, and gauges for dimensional inspection.Experience performing quality inspection and quality control activities in a manufacturing or shop floor environment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.Proficiency in visual inspection and final inspection of parts and components.Ability to work effectively in a small team setting.Strong communication skills to interact with engineers, machinists, and other team members at all levels.Ability to give and receive feedback in a professional and constructive manner.Flexibility to switch tasks and inspection priorities quickly while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience using Faro ARM or similar portable coordinate measuring equipment for dimensional inspection.Experience using CAD comparison and dimensional analysis tools to verify product conformance.Familiarity with inspecting sheet metal and composite parts as well as machined components.Comfort working with a wide range of part sizes, from small intricate pieces to large components up to approximately 8 feet.Why Work Here?You will join a stable company that offers a close-knit, family-oriented environment with room for upward growth. You will receive daily inspection priorities from a Lead or Supervisor, and these priorities may fluctuate throughout the day, requiring flexibility and responsiveness. The position follows a consistent first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. No medical or industry certifications are required for the role.
