Electrical Engineer

Job description: We are looking for an ambitious individual to join our Consulting Engineering Firm located in Lansdale, PA. We are currently looking for an experienced, Electrical Engineer to help us grow our firm and provide high quality design work to our clients. Electrical Engineer requirements: · A firm working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and a familiarity with applications of single-phase and three-phase power systems. · Skills must include the ability to develop detailed electrical single line diagrams. · Technical proficiency in the areas of sizing raceways and conductors, circuit protective devices. Must be familiar with low and medium voltage systems, as well as specifying and selecting electrical equipment. · Knowledge of instrumentation and SCADA systems is a plus. · The ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel to prepare and edit specifications in CSI format for equipment and systems. · The use of AutoCAD to prepare drawings. · Drawing preparation includes single line drawings, floor plans, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, Elementary wiring diagrams for control of equipment and systems, details of various types for installation and construction · Experience with SKM Power Tools Software is a plus. · The ability to work with other team members and communicate effectively with clients. Independent design experience in the following areas: 3phase Electrical Coordination Studies 3phase Electrical Arc Flash Studies 3phase AutoCAD Layout Drawings (Equipment Layouts with Homeruns and Site Ductwork Layouts). Create 3phase One-Line (Single-Line) using design calculations based on NEC guidelines.
