Role: Mainframe Developer
Location: Nashville, TN (Onsite)
Duration: 12 months
We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in IBM z/OS environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with JCL, DB2, and CICS, and will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing mainframe applications in a high-performance enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications on IBM z/OSWrite and manage JCL for batch processing and job scheduling
- Design, develop, and optimize DB2 databases and queries
- Build and support online applications using CICSAnalyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning
- Ensure application stability, security, and compliance with standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and business analysts
- Provide production support and resolve issues in a timely manner
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Mainframe development
- Strong hands-on experience with z/OS, JCL, DB2, and CICSProficiency in COBOL programming
- Experience with batch and online processing systems
- Good understanding of mainframe architecture and utilities
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with version control and deployment processes
