Title: General Maintenance IReports To: Maintenance ManagerDepartment: MaintenanceSummary of Position: Responsible for assisting the Maintenance team in performing a variety of basic skills involved in the upkeep of buildings and grounds, including lodging, retail stores, restaurants and housing.Responsibilities:Receive and complete work orders, in a timely and efficient manner, as required by Maintenance Department policies and procedures. Must assist in the completion, tracking and reporting of work ordersDuties may include general painting, carpentry, plumbing, minor electrical, masonry, landscaping maintenance, etc.Perform assigned maintenance and mechanical duties for buildings and associated facilities, furnishings and equipment as requestedCapable of “hands on repairs” in most maintenance disciplinesComply with all safety policies and procedures including when lifting, climbing, etc.Be available to assist other team members with maintenance related tasksPolite, knowledgeable and timely customer service when responding to visitor inquiriesUnderstand the Company’s ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems, policies, goals, and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areasOther duties per Duties Checklist and as assignedPosition Requirements:Demonstrate basic skill in the use of tools, materials and equipment common to maintenance and repairPossess the initiative to learn and willingness to grow in maintenance operationsUnderstand and effectively follow oral and written instructionsMust be able to work on ladders, scaffolding, elevated platforms or crawl spaces, tunnels, ledges and roofs and understand the OSHA safety requirements as applicableAbility to work as part of a teamMust be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, and holiday shiftsAbility to lift and carry 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionallyMust have a valid driver’s license to operate vehicles throughout propertyHourly rate - $18.00 - $20.00Education and Experience:Education: High school Diploma or equivalentTechnical certification/degree preferredExperience: 1 year of general maintenance and/or constructionNational Park Experience PreferredQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or protected veteran status and all other status protected by law.
