Patient Care Tech, 4 South-Orthopedics and Neurosurgery

OverviewThe Patient Care Tech will assume responsibility and accountability for providing support services to ensure continuity of care and help to meet the department goals as directed by the health care team. The Patient Care Tech will perform patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. They will assist patients with personal hygiene, nutrition, elimination, skin care, use of equipment and other clinical and administrative tasks which are delegated and assigned. The Patient Care Tech will perform delegated support functions and patient care duties that are within the scope of practice for unlicensed assistive personnel. The Patient Care Tech will demonstrate a commitment to teamwork through effective collaboration efforts.SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:This position is a designated as "Safety Sensitive Position" under Act 593 of the State ofArkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat toPatients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing andsupporting the delivery health care related services.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent or higher educationBasic keyboarding skills, preferredClinical experience or CNA preferredPrior to independence from preceptor successful completion of:American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers, training includedPoint of Care Testing Equipment Orientation
