Lead Field Crews as a Crew Chief – Direct Work, Capture Data, Deliver AccuracyAre you a skilled survey professional who enjoys leading field crews and producing precise, reliable results? Do you thrive in hands-on environments where no two project sites are the same and your expertise helps keep work moving forward?CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Crew Chief to join our Water Team in Georgetown, TX, where you will oversee daily field activities supporting water projects across the region. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong technical experience, leads with confidence, and takes pride in delivering high-quality data through teamwork and attention to detail.Direct and lead field crew members through daily survey assignments, ensuring safe, efficient, and well‐coordinated field operations in alignment with safety protocols and quality assurance standardsPerform record research, construction stakeout, boundary, topographic, transportation, and utility surveys utilizing total stations, data collectors, and GPSReview legal documents, plans, and project materials to accurately plan and execute water projectsCreate and verify field sketches and field computations related to traversing, map interpretation, and layoutHigh school diploma required; Associate's degree and/or Bachelor's degree preferredMinimum of 3 years of related experience requiredStrong knowledge of surveying practices, field procedures, and industry standardsProficiency with Microsoft Office preferred; knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation preferredStrong communication, time management, and team coordination skills with the ability to represent the firm professionally with clients and the broader publicAbility to lift and carry equipment over uneven terrain and work outdoors in all weather conditionsValid driver's license with the ability to travel short-term requiredNSPS‐CST Level II certification preferred; LSIT preferredLead field efforts that support critical infrastructure delivering clean water and protecting community healthWork alongside engineers, surveyors, and project teams focused on sustainable, resilient water systemsContribute to projects that improve aging infrastructure and help communities meet growing demand and environmental challengesGrow your career in a collaborative environment with opportunities to expand your technical and leadership skillsCurious how CHA's Water/Wastewater team is shaping mobility and infrastructure?
