Employment Type:Part timeShift:12 Hour Night ShiftDescription:Position PurposeThe Respiratory Therapist shall be responsible for the administration of respiratory care offered by the Respiratory Care DepartmentWhat you will doFunction clinically with a considerable amount of independent judgment regarding the delivery of quality patient careServe as a technical resource person to the physicians and other health care workers, with regard to current practices in respiratory careSet up, operate and manage patient care on respiratory related equipment such as mechanical ventilators, NIPPV/CPAP, or High Flow Oxygen devicesManage patients on invasive mechanical ventilation modes (AC, PSV, PC, APRV, Bi-level)Minimum QualificationsGraduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Care, minimum of a two-year Associate's DegreeCurrent State of CT Respiratory Care Practitioner LicenseRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified (CRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).Thorough knowledge of the procedures and patient care techniques involved in the delivery of respiratory carePosition Highlights and Benefitsper diem, choose 8hr or 12hr night shiftsexcellent shift and weekend differentialsPay Range: flat rate base: $38.70 CRT $42.25 RRT plus diffsMinistry/Facility InformationMercy Medical Center has established itself as one of the leading providers of health care services in Western Massachusetts.
