Machine Operator - Tallmadge

Machine Operator Summary: A machine operator is responsible for set-up, operation, basic maintenance, and routine cleaning of their assigned machine. They ensure that the machine produces high quality products, runs smoothly at the required capacity, and the machine is properly maintained. Responsibilities: Assist on setup of new product; documenting all parameters and settings needed to run production. Set-up of equipment for production. Operate equipment according to product manufacturing instructions to produce high quality products in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Thoroughly clean, sanitize and organize workspaces and shared facility areas as directed to maintain an efficient and high-quality manufacturing operation and environment. Responsible for reporting all major or minor food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action. Promote food safety and quality awareness throughout the organization. Retrieve, stage, accurately verify all inputs on the production records, and document all lots of materials used on the production order. Complete all required paperwork (Batch Records, Cleaning and Use, Tags, etc.) Complete and submit prescribed daily and/or weekly checklists of key facility equipment and utilities to ensure consistent and effective operation of manufacturing processes. Other duties as assigned Abilities/Skills/Knowledge Requirements: High School Diploma, preferred Strong work ethic with a willingness/eagerness to learn Good mechanical skills and use of tools Comfortable utilizing a computer Ability to lift up to 75 lbs to shoulder height frequently throughout shift Job Type: Full-time Salary: From $17.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Overtime Work Location: In person
