Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Make a meaningful difference in students' lives by providing critical psychological services for the 2026–2027 school year. This contract opportunity is for a School Psychologist who will deliver support and complete special education evaluations for students from preschool through 12th grade within the district. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, families, and staff to ensure student needs are identified and met, and collaborate to maintain compliance with all special education requirements and timelines.Qualifications and Experience:Master's Degree or higher in School Psychology (or related equivalent)Valid approval as a School Psychologist by the Michigan Department of EducationRelevant experience with comprehensive special education evaluations across a variety of grade levels (preschool through high school preferred)Strong ability to collaborate with educators, families, and professionals in multidisciplinary teamsExcellent communication, organizational, and documentation skillsAdaptability to adjust responsibilities in response to district needsKey Responsibilities:Perform psychological and educational assessments for students referred for special education servicesComplete all evaluation reports and associated documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelinesConsult with teachers, school counselors, administrators, and families regarding student progress and recommendationsParticipate actively in IEP meetings and serve as an essential resource on special education processes and interventionsTravel onsite to assigned school buildings as scheduled (onsite positions only, at this time)Adjust role and caseload in response to evolving district/student needsThis role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) for the entirety of the school year, with specific building placements to be determined.If you're an enthusiastic, qualified School Psychologist committed to supporting the academic and social success of students, we encourage you to apply now and bring your expertise to this impactful setting!#p31
