Glass Handling Specialists operate material handling equipment to select, stock, and organize product as well as hand-handle materials to stage at appropriate load sites. Glass Handling Specialists are responsible for timely and accurately selecting and stocking product to best achieve key performance indicators, directly impacting our customer service oriented goals.Essential Responsibilities:Select incoming pick tickets according using RFID technology to accurately fulfill customer orders.Prepares, packs, and scans (as appropriate), and stages products for transfer and customer pick-up and delivery in accordance with established standards.Quickly and accurately receive, process and store incoming auto glass product shipments.Ensures shipments are inspected and damages or shortages are documented and recorded. Initiates freight claim procedure when necessary.Checks incoming delivery contents against packing list to verify accurate and full delivery.Verifies vendor part number and MGC stock number for all incoming products.Prepares receiving reports and notes any shortages, damages or overages. Promptly reports any discrepancies to supervisors.Stores incoming products in proper location according to bin number or product sequence.Determines proper bin number and/or location of incoming products.Verifies actual counts of stock against CORE inventory. Investigates and reports discrepancies.Operates hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and OR other equipment safely and in accordance with organizational procedures.Monitors equipment and promptly reports any safety or maintenance concerns to supervisorsMaintains required hazardous materials, forklift, and other internal and external certificationsBreak down boxes, stock accessories and organize inventory as directedAdhere to health & safety policies and quality standards. This position is considered safety sensitive.Assist in maintaining appearance of branch as needed. Clean warehouse, counter area, etc.Other Duties:Aid in prepping, inspecting, labeling and loading safely maintain KPI objectives and limit breakage.Loads delivery vehicles and assists customers with will call pickups.Drive company vehicles for customer deliveries, transfers or assigned maintenanceProcesses customer returns. Ensures returns are in sellable condition per company policy.Verifies that warranty paperwork has been properly and neatly filled out. Initiates warranty return process, and stages product in warranty area.Processes documentation necessary to ship transfers and customer orders, including bills of lading, packing lists, small parcel manifests and other necessary documents.Performs cycle counting on assigned items in order to keep accurate records of inventory.Perform other job tasks as assigned.Requirements:Experience in a warehouse environmentFamiliar with modern warehouse software with basic computer skills.Clear written and verbal communication skillsDetail and Safety oriented with a mind for accuracyExceptional time management skills, punctual with stellar attendanceA beginner's mindset that is coachable and open to feedbackAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work cohesively as part of a team, and or take direction in an ever-changing working conditionAbility to work flexible shifts or overtime as neededEducation and Licensing Requirements:High school diploma, GED, or equivalentValid driver's license preferredCMV DOT Medical Card preferredPass and maintain Forklift certification2+ years warehouse or equivalent experiencePhysical Demands:This position is considered as safety sensitive position. It requires close visual acuity to perform activities such as: viewing a computer terminal/mobile device; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts; Ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels, and making fine discriminations in sound; Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must have finger grip strength to properly handle glass. Must be able to remain in a stationary position and/or upright, for prolonged periods of time, traverse stairs, maneuver in tight spaces, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch occasionally during 8-10-hour work shift.Base Pay:The listed range is what we reasonably expect to pay for this opportunity at the time of this posting. Actual compensation is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's experience, education, certifications, knowledge, skills and geography/ work location, and may ultimately be more or less than the posted range.
