Reporting to the CFO, this executive will ensure the integrity of financial statements, drive compliance with SEC reporting requirements, and provide authoritative guidance on complex accounting matters across the organization.ResponsibilitiesTechnical Accounting Own all technical accounting research, documentation, and policy development under U.S. GAAPLead assessment and implementation of new accounting standards (ASC 842, ASC 606, ASC 350, etc.)Partner with deal, legal, and operations teams to evaluate accounting implications of transactions, acquisitions, and new business arrangementsMaintain and enforce the company's accounting policies and internal controls frameworkExternal Reporting Oversee preparation and filing of all SEC documents (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy)Manage relationships with external auditors; lead the audit and quarterly review processPartner with Investor Relations on earnings releases and financial messagingCoordinate XBRL tagging and disclosure committee processesLeadership & Cross-Functional Lead and develop a team of 8–12 accounting professionalsServe as a key liaison to the Audit CommitteeSupport treasury, tax, FP&A, and M&A teams on accounting and reporting matters QualificationsCPA required; Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred12+ years of progressive accounting experience; minimum 3–5 years in a senior leadership roleSEC reporting experience required; hospitality, lodging, or multi-unit industry experience a plusDeep expertise in U.S. GAAP and SEC regulationsDemonstrated ability to manage and develop high-performing teamsStrong communication skills with the ability to translate complex accounting issues for executive and board-level audiences Required SkillsTechnical accounting expertiseLeadership and team developmentStrong communication skills Preferred SkillsExperience in hospitality or multi-unit industryFamiliarity with SEC regulations
