Endoscopy Technician

Job title : Endoscopy Associate Job location : New York, NY 10029 Shift : 10A - 6:30 PM Pay : $50-$56/hr Contract : 3 Months.Education: HS/GED required. College courses in sciences preferred American Heart Association ACLS and BLS required MUST HAVE 2 YEARS MIN AS AN ENDO TECHDuties : Familiarity with standard concepts, practices of endoscopic clinical required in the past two recent years. Record and monitor patient vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respirations) and document intake/output. Report changes in patient condition or abnormal values to the registered nurse. Assist physicians and RNs during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, manometry, SpyGlass, Bravo, and 24-hour pH studies. Set up, check, troubleshoot, clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical equipment according to infection control guidelines. Collect and label specimens and maintain proper documentation and logs. Perform clinical tasks such as EKG, specimen collection, post-mortem care, and maintaining skin integrity. Assist patients with activities of daily living including feeding, bathing, toileting, ambulation, and mobility. Maintain a safe, clean, and functional patient environment and assist with patient transport when required. Manage equipment and travel carts, maintain supplies, conduct daily inventory, and remove outdated items. Perform safety checks on equipment, refrigerators, call bells, and eyewash stations; test procedure rooms for negative pressure. Generate reports and support documentation as required. Greet visitors, answer phones, provide information, and escort visitors when necessary.
