USA - Principal Engineer - Packaging

Overview In this role you will lead end-to-end packaging development and transformation within a consumer goods context, collaborating with cross-functional teams, facilities, and suppliers. You will drive trials, testing, validation, and specification maintenance to meet quality and business goals. ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end packaging development and transformation projectsCoordinate packaging trials, testing, and validation with cross-functional teams, facilities, and suppliersDevelop, update, and maintain packaging specifications and technical docsSupport packaging-related supply chain and manufacturing initiativesExecute test plans, analyze results, and make actionable recommendationsCommunicate project progress, risks, and findings to stakeholders at all levelsEnsure packaging solutions meet quality, performance, and business requirements Key requirementsBachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, or related technical fieldMinimum 5 years of packaging experience in a consumer packaged goods (FMCG) environmentExperience supporting packaging specifications, testing, and supply chain activitiesStrong knowledge of packaging materials (flexible packaging, paper cups and lids, corrugated)Experience with packaging testing methods and validation protocolsCross-functional collaborationClear communication to technical and non-technical audiencesProject management and multi-priority handlingPackaging materials knowledge (flexible, paper cups/lids, corrugated)Packaging testing methods and validation protocolsCAPE/TOPS (or similar package design software)
