Project Estimator

DonahueFavret Contractors, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Commercial Construction Estimator to join our Pre-Construction team. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the estimating and bidding process to secure profitable work. From initial document review to final bid submission and project turnover, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our projects are competitively and accurately priced.Key Responsibilities:Lead the full estimating process for assigned projects — conceptual through final bidPerform quantity take-offs, pricing, bid summaries, and bid submissionsCoordinate with subs/suppliers and manage bid day logisticsPrepare budgets for negotiated work and design-build projectsAnalyze post-bid results and support project turnover to operationsMaintain and update the estimating databaseQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field5+ years of commercial construction estimating experienceStrong understanding of unit costs, market trends, and cost driversSkills & Tools:Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, On-Screen Takeoff, and ICEStrong communication, planning, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple deadlines with attention to detailEffective at building relationships with subcontractors and team membersAdditional Requirements:Valid driver’s license and clean driving recordAbility to travel to project sites as neededDonahueFavret Contractors, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
