Summary / ObjectiveProvide guests with best possible experience by assisting the bartender when busy to assure quick and pleasant service.Essential FunctionsVery simply, be the best. Build regulars and ensure that your guests have the kind of experience that they come back for. Give the kind of service that you would enjoy.Greet new guests in a prompt and friendly manner.Maintain the company’s standards for alcohol awareness and service.Help bartender when busy by assisting in pouring beer etc.Maintain knowledge of food and beverage menus. Be readily available to answer questions from guests regarding food and beverage.Keep bar area organized and functional.Stock all alcohol items in the bar, according to set par lists. Ensure everything is in its place. Change beer kegs as needed. Return empty kegs to the proper storage area.Keep the ice bins full.Keep busy by cleaning all bar areas, including inside of coolers, shelves, and behind and under all equipment. Constant monitoring of guests’ experience, i.e., check back after they get their food, maintain drink levels, pre-bus plates and glasses.Participate in and drive company initiatives and promotions.Maintain an accurate inventory. Provide excellent guest service in a friendly, positive, efficient, and enthusiastic way.Maintain dress code and looking neat, clean, and professional on shift.Always greet guests with a smile and a positive attitude.Have or obtain a Food Handlers Certificate and use such knowledge in day-to-day procedures.Have or obtain an Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification.Proper use of chemicals and adhere to safety standards.Prep for day / shift with juicing & prepping of fruit and other drink garnishments.Use all equipment correctly and safely.Ensure that all beverage and equipment is stored properly. Make sure that guests leave happy with their experience, enlisting the help of other team members, supervisors or managers as needed.Prepare and present beer that meets beverage quality and guest satisfaction standards when helping the bartender.Prepare and present beer according to recipe and specifications when helping the bartender.Maintain station maintenance, cleanliness, and sanitation.Maintain company safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards for entire bar area, including walls, drains and floors.Have strong communication skills.Comply with all Health Department Policies.Uphold the culture and standards of Santa Rosa Entertainment Company, LLC.Work hard to identify potential problems and communicate with supervisors and management to help prevent them from having an impact on guest experience.Maintain proper stock of supplies, communicating needs or shortages with management.Ability to grasp, lift, reach, crouch, stand, walk, and carry for long periods of time.A positive attitude.Uniform requirements: Safe and neat uniform consisting of black pants, black nonslip shoes.Other duties as directed.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a busy bar / restaurant environment. Employees in this role are frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, and cleaning chemicals.Physical DemandsThe employee is required to stand 100% of their shift, climb or balance; and stoop or kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, using proper lifting procedures.Required QualificationsBe a team player.
