Police Captain - Robbinsdale

The City of Robbinsdale is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Police Captain. The position is responsible for supervising and directing sworn and non-sworn personnel assigned to the patrol, investigations and support services division. The Robbinsdale Police Department is staffed by 27 sworn officers, 8 full time civilian staff and 6 Cadet interns. Officers are assigned to patrol, investigations, specialty roles and administration. Our civilian support team consists of a Community Service Officer, Records Technicians, Evidence Technician, Crime Analyst, Public Safety IT Specialist, Public Safety Specialist and Office Coordinator. The Police Department handled over 25,000 calls in 2025. It is a well-managed organization with a mixture of young and tenured officers.
