Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role involves working closely with oncologists, healthcare professionals, patients, and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients, including administering medications, chemotherapy, and other treatments.
Monitor patient responses to treatment and report any adverse reactions or complications.
Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, procedures, and post-treatment care.
Collaborate with the oncology team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Offer emotional support to patients and their families during treatment.
Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in oncology nursing.
Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
Proficiency in managing IV's is a must.
Proficiency in administering chemotherapy and other oncology treatments preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Compassionate, patient-focused, and detail-oriented.
