At TEAM COLLINS, every car deserves a perfect finish—and as a Sander, you’re the artisan who lays the foundation for brilliance. Your sanding skills ensure every surface is smooth, prepped, and ready for flawless paint application.
Your Mission:
Sand and prepare vehicle surfaces to meet company and industry standards.
Remove old paint, surface rust, and debris using the right tools and techniques.
Mask areas of the vehicle to protect surfaces while sanding.
Operate DA sanders and other equipment safely and efficiently.
Remove tags, racks, emblems, decals, and accessories with care.
Minimize material use and dust transference through proper surface prep techniques.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Read and understand repair orders, completing work in the prescribed order and time frame.
Move vehicles safely throughout the facility.
Limit supply usage and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
One year of automotive experience preferred.
Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for color and color matching.
Physical Requirements:
Frequently lift, carry, and manipulate up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motions required.
Extended periods of standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, bending, and squatting.
Work Environment:
Exposure to paint, fumes, dust, chemicals, toxins, varying temperatures, and intermittent noise.
Use of PPE required.
