Today Antech is driving the future of pet health as part of Mars Science Diagnostics, a family-owned company focused on veterinary care./ppThe primary responsibility of the Driver is to safely and efficiently transport specimens from hospitals to the laboratory while providing superior customer support to our clientele./ppEssential duties and responsibilities:/pulliAdhere to Driver and Safety Handbook policies and protocols/liliProper route preparation (coolers, icepacks, biopsy bags, vehicle checklist)/liliTimely delivery of client supplies and specimens to the appropriate destination/liliMaintain specimen integrity at all times, including the utilization of specimen carry bag to transport specimens from client office/lock box to vehicle./liliEfficient and timely completion of routes/liliFollow route as scheduled/sequenced while allowing for special pick-ups/liliUse logistics software for route picks ups. The software may require data entry and photos to be taken to notify management of the lab pick-ups or issues./liliResponsible for operating your vehicle safely as well as maintaining a valid drivers license and driving record within acceptable company guidelines/liliEnsure route is started with proper equipment and tools, i.e., carry bag, coolers, cellphone, keys, door hangers, reports, etc/liliCompletion of late return form when A.T.A. exceeds E.T.A./liliCompletion and use of We Were Here, But No Specimens Available tags/liliCourteous and professional interactions with clients/liliAll other reasonable duties requested by Supervisor/liliCommunicate with Transportation Supervisor on all issues that arise during a route/liliRepresent Antech in a positive manner at all times./liliResponsible for compliance with all processes including and not limited to: timekeeping, attendance and punctuality, safety requirements./liliAssist in other duties relevant to transportation services./liliWe share a collaborative obligation to ensure that we conduct ourselves in the utmost ethical manner and that we hold each other accountable to the values and standards of the organization. Antech Diagnostics has several processes in place to communicate with leadership and expects that employees will have a commitment to integrity and uncompromising values./li/ulpEducation/experience:/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent./li/ulpRequired skills and abilities:/pulliMust have at least 36 months of driving experience as evidenced by a current Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)/liliGood interpersonal skills/liliCommunication skills/liliNeat, professional appearance/liliClean driving record/liliPositive, can-do attitude/li/ulpPhysical demands:/pulliProlonged standing/sitting/walking/driving/liliFine dexterity with hands/steadiness/liliAble to lift up to 25 pounds; may occasionally need to lift 40 pounds; carrying up to 15 pounds for several minutes at a time/liliAbility to communicate effectively in English with clients, supervisors and peers/liliVision-requires constant mental visual attention to details as well as ability to see well in limited light scenarios/liliBalancing/liliBending/kneeling/liliPushing/pulling/liliReaching/twisting/li/ulpWork environment:/pulliMajority of time spent operating a motor vehicle/liliLaboratory environment with potential biohazards present/liliWorks under close to moderate supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment/liliNormally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignmentsPotential for exposure to agents known to cause zoonotic disease in humans and use of potentially hazardous chemicals as defined by the National Hazard Communication Standards.
