This position will verify specifications using various measuring tools and perform routine maintenance on equipment and ensure the cleanliness and organization of the workspace as well as document and troubleshoot assemblies as required.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepares work to be assembled utilizing assembly instructions, blueprints, market lists, etcHave to carefully test the partly assembled parts before performing the final assemblingVerifies specifications by measuring or checking parts to be assembledFollow the targets and deadlines set for jobsFollow instructions written and/or verbalMust follow all the safety procedures, environmental guidelines and company rules and regulations while assemblingDocument and troubleshoot assemblies as requiredKeep equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance proceduresBolt, screw, and/or rivet accessories to fasten, support, or hang components and subassembliesAlign and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners as requiredApply sealants, adhesives, resins, and solvents per customer specificationsUtilize hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing equipment as requiredIdentify product defects and communicate errors to appropriate personnelBag and tag finished productsPerform other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Mechanically inclined with good manual dexterityAbility to understand drawings, specifications, and work instructionsAbility to sit or stand for long periods of timeAbility to lift 50 poundsSelf-motivated and work with minimal supervisionGood math and analytical skills.
