Our model blends sophistication with agility.Position OverviewForward Global’s U.S.-based finance team is seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a self-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, scaling environment and can operate with a high degree of autonomy. In this role, the Senior Accountant will manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and support core accounting functions while also contributing to process improvements, including supporting the transition from QuickBooks to Sage Intacct and assisting with the implementation process.This position is on-site (five days per week) at our Georgetown, Washington, DC office and reports to the US Head of Finance.Key ResponsibilitiesOrder-to-Cash & Billing OperationsManage daily cash application and allocation across multiple Forward Global USA entitiesGenerate and issue invoices in accordance with contract terms and internal business requestsReview Salesforce project activity to ensure timely, accurate, and complete invoicingEnsure all invoices are prepared and sent by month-end deadlinesMonitor billing status in Salesforce and resolve discrepancies or related inquiriesAccrue revenue at month-end based on project status and management inputAccounts Receivable ManagementMaintain and reconcile AR data between Salesforce and QuickBooks on a monthly basisPrepare and analyze monthly AR aging reports across all entitiesMonitor outstanding balances and lead collections efforts, including follow-ups and escalationsIdentify and resolve billing and payment discrepanciesReview aging trends and escalate risks or concerns to managementManage 1 accounting assistantAccounts Payable & Vendor ManagementMonitor AP/AR mailbox and respond to vendor and internal inquiriesProcess vendor payments (ACH, wire, checks) and manage recurring payments (including rent across entities)Verify new vendor bank details or for vendor bank account changes to prevent fraud.Record trade and inter-company invoices ensuring proper allocation across entitiesHandle vendor disputes and escalated payment issuesSystems, Reporting & Financial OperationsMaintain and reconcile financial data between Salesforce and QuickBooks, investigating discrepancies as neededGenerate internal financial reports and support ad hoc reporting requestsSupport cash forecasting and assist with cash management reportingProcess and record estimated income tax payments provided by tax accountantsPrepare and file 1099 NEC/MISC reporting requirementsMonth-End Close & Accounting SupportSupport month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entriesReview billing, expense, and project-related data in Salesforce for accuracy and completenessAssist with revenue recognition and other month-end accrualsRespond to internal finance inquiries and provide supporting documentation as neededCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with operations and project teams to ensure accurate billing, reporting, and data flowInvestigate and resolve Salesforce-related issues impacting billing or project trackingProvide financial clarity and support to internal stakeholders and external counterpartiesSupervise and support Staff Accountant, including review of work for accuracy and completenessIdeal Candidate5+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong hands-on experience with QuickBooks and Sage Intacct (required)Solid understanding of AP/AR processes and general ledger accountingHigh level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detailAbility to work independently and take ownership of responsibilitiesStrong problem-solving skills and proactive mindsetA motivated, autonomous professional who can hit the ground runningSomeone comfortable in a dynamic, evolving environmentClosingAt Forward Global, we believe complex challenges require diverse perspectives.
