Our vision is to reshape the industry’s benchmark for renewable operations and create the next generation of O&M provider.ResponsibilitiesWork alongside General Counsel in negotiating, drafting, and executing operations and maintenance agreements and master services agreements with vendors, suppliers, and consultantsAssist engineering, procurement, and field teams as needed with respect to operations and maintenance related contract negotiations for subcontractors and special projectsAssist in managing internal risk and compliance, including corporate governance, insurance, safety, and human resourcesSupport operational and contract compliance programsSupport relating to any and all legal matters and questions presented to the legal team, such as reviewing and analyzing disputes, contractor licensing requirements, due diligence requests, assisting with RFPs, IT matters, etc.Assist in identifying, managing, and advising business clients and executive management on risk allocation and mitigationContribute to creating, developing, and implementing processes, procedures, best practices, systems, and controls within the legal department, and more broadly within the business, and recommend improvements to those already existingStay current with events and developments affecting the renewable energy industry, with particular emphasis on possible impacts to the businessBring a positive, energetic, “can-do,” problem solving attitude to the workplaceQualificationsJD from accredited law schoolCurrent license to practice law in a U.S. state1-5 years of relevant experience (e.g., contract negotiation, general commercial/transactional work, renewable energy experience, corporate legal)Possess effective drafting, negotiating, and communication skillsAbility to work independently to research and answer questions, provide guidance, and formulate solutions as issues arise.Possess problem solving, effective time management, project management, and interpersonal skills.Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks, pivoting as needed when business needs changeStrong team player with eagerness to learn and take on new tasksCreative, adaptable, and independent thinkerPhysical Requirements/Work EnvironmentAbility to work at a computer workstation for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day).Manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment.Benefits401(k) with employer matchHealth Insurance Dental InsuranceVision Insurance Flexible Spending Account Health Savings AccountShort-term and Long-term disability Critical illness Paid Time OffParental LeavePaid HolidaysEmployee assistance programLife insuranceOpportunities for advancementTraining and Development Legal and Identity TheftPet Insurance Act Power Services does not accept any unsolicited resumes or referrals from any third-party recruiting firms or agencies.
