There are 3 operating rooms and 4 bay post-anesthesia care units. The facility features 4 antepartum rooms and a Level III NICU. The documentation system used is Meditech and CPN. Scheduling requires shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Floating may occur within the women's and children's service line. Patient experience requirements include labor and delivery, circulating for cesarean sections, and managing IV drips such as magnesium. Procedures performed on the unit include cesarean sections, epidurals, spinals, cerclage, and version. Efficient functioning in a fast-paced environment is essential.
