AI-Directed Engineer

Job Summary:The AI-Directed Engineer is responsible for designing and delivering software by directing AI systems to do the majority of the work, moving ideas from concept to demo and into production at high speed. Rather than writing every line of code, this role focuses on breaking problems into AI-executable tasks, guiding and refining AI-generated output, and ensuring quality, performance, and real customer value. Operating in an AI-first environment, the AI-Directed Engineer owns end-to-end delivery, continuously improves workflows and tooling, and helps drive the organization from AI-assisted development toward fully AI-delegated software delivery.Job Description:What You'll OwnEnd-to-end delivery of features from concept → demo → productionDirecting AI tools to generate code, APIs, UI, and workflowsBreaking down product requirements into AI-executable tasksValidation, testing, and refinement of AI-generated outputSpeed and throughput of development across assigned workstreamsContinuous improvement of AI-driven development workflows and patternHow AI Changes This RoleAI is your primary implementation engine. However, every AI-generated output is treated as a starting point, not a finished product. You are responsible for validating correctness, handling edge cases, and ensuring production readiness.
