Business Development Officer (Remote within the US)
Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.We are seeking a Business Development Officer to support Planate's strategic growth by leading opportunity shaping, capture planning, competitive analysis, and customer engagement for the CONUS US Federal and DoD market. You will serve as the primary support to the Head of Global Business Development and Capture, ensuring disciplined, repeatable capture processes across the organization.Key responsibilities:Lead and manage the full capture lifecycle from opportunity identification through contract awardDevelop and execute capture plans, including win strategy, solutioning, customer intelligence, and competitive analysisIdentifycustomer needs and define compelling value propositionsBuild andmaintainrelationships with government stakeholders and decision makersRepresent Planate in customer engagements, industry events, and conferencesCoordinate with internal teams, proposal managers, and partners to ensure alignment and complianceSupport business development strategy, pipeline management, and performance trackingMonitor KPIs,maintainaccurateopportunity data, and support reportingPerform other duties asrequiredQualifications to be successful in the role:Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a technical-related fieldMBA or PMP (preferred)Strong willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challengesKnowledge of U.S. Government contracting, contract types/vehicles, and procurement processesExperience or training in business development, capture planning, and proposal development is preferredStrong understanding of market dynamics and industry trendsAbility to manage multiple projects, collaborate across teams, and make strategic decisionsWhy Planate?Planate Management Group is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
