Truck and Transfer Driver (Class A CDL)

Our team provides quality workmanship and outstanding service to our customers who are represented by public utilities, government agencies, general contractors, and businesses.We are looking for a hard-working driver that likes to work outside and takes pride in a job completed safely and efficiently to join our Woodinville team.Responsibilities Include:Conducts daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle, trailer and equipment inspections and completes driver's checklist in Fleetio.Loads and unloads equipment in a safe manner by always utilizing the help of a second person, and ensures equipment is correctly secured on trailers.Practices safe driving skills in all operating conditions (including "4 second rule") following all vehicular safety regulations and consistently using spotters.Recognizes mechanical issues as they develop with engine, brakes and electrical systems and takes action when necessary to shut down and secure the machine to avoid additional damage; reports maintenance needed and/or any damage to their Superintendent, Foreman and Shop Foreman.Responsible for ensuring material is loaded safely and efficiently (ensures not overweight, no debris, etc.) and safely transports to jobsites and/or plants.Can follow GPS and get to job sites and to material sources in a timely manner.Spreads and dumps gravel efficiently; spots truck into paver and places material as directed.Performs non-driving, general labor duties as needed and/or directed.Provides materials' tickets to the Foreman daily so Foreman can complete their work.Maintains a clean truck to include spraying down of trailers when needed and practices good housekeeping on all equipment.Ensures truck is fueled each night.Follows all safety rules and regulations and practices preventive safety measures; wears required PPE.Maintains and promotes Company's philosophy and core values of Respect, Trust, and Create.Requirements:Must have a CDL Class A.Knowledge and ability to use GPS devices.Follows all DOT requirements and traffic regulations.Ability to work as part of a team.Ability to work weekends and occasional nights.Ability to travel to various worksites.Ability to work long hours and in all weather conditions.Why Choose AA Asphalting!Full Benefit Package: Medical, Dental, Vision401K Profit Sharing optionDiscounted YMCA membershipYear Round EmploymentPaid Time Off (PTO) + Holiday payOngoing training opportunitiesCertified flagger courseCareer growth opportunitiesOver 45 years of experienceIf this looks like your next opportunity, apply now by filling out our online application!This position is designated as a safety-sensitive position and is subject to Drug and Alcohol testing per the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).* Pursuant to the FMCSA, all new CDL Drivers will be subject to the full queries of the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse database to ensure they are not prohibited from performing safety-sensitive functions due to prior drug or alcohol violations.* All new CDL Driver Hires must register for the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse and consent to AA Asphalting reviewing their Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse record.Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check required.
