Here is what we love about our culture:Customer Focus - We build partnerships, our customer's success is our successTrust - We operate with integrity and fairness, we are reliableTeamwork - We empower each other, we are committed as a teamExcellence - We take tremendous pride in our work, products and servicesSCOPE OF POSITION:The Controller is responsible for providing and managing the financial affairs of the organization which includes but is not limited to managing the general ledger, financial statement preparation and reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, monthly close management, and management of the accounting department.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Participates in the financial reporting process that performs to a standard and in a time frame that is acceptable to a publicly traded company.Preparation of internal and parent company financial statements and consolidations (GAAP).Manages monthly closing process including timely and accurate review and preparation of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and research.Daily treasury management and investment of excess funds.Coordination of financial, 401k, and statutory audits.Maintenance of sales tax data base and preparation of sales tax filings for multiple states.Management and maintenance of internal controls and accounting policies.Prepares assigned audit work papers and interact with financial auditors as needed.Responsible for the recording and reconciliation of the balance sheet accounts State and local sales and business & occupation tax compliance.Participates in the preparation of the annual budget.Manages the accounts payable, payroll and invoicing processes.Liaison with Japanese foreign parent-company representatives.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This position is responsible for the management and supervision of the accounting team.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Certified Public Accountant (CPA)Min of 8 years of relevant work experienceExperience with SAGE is a plusBachelor's degree in AccountingComputer competency and spreadsheet proficiencyStrong leadership/managerial skillsAbility to deal with issues on a conceptual basisSales tax experience requiredCompensation & BenefitsUp to $190,000 annually (dependent on experience and skill level)Medical, Dental & Vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid Time OffLife and Long-Term Disability InsuranceEducation AssistanceTraining & Development OpportunitiesAs an Equal Opportunity Employer, employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by law.
