JOB DESCRIPTION: SUMMARY OF POSITION Performs floor maintenance requirements at designated facilities. Move furniture to clean floor around and underneath. Cleans and vacuums designated resident/patient and administrative areas. Launders and provides clean bedding to resident/patient areas as needed. Reports unusual conditions such as insect infestation or needed repairs to supervisor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Reports to work as scheduled on a daily basis and performs assigned duties to ensure the smooth operation of the department. Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines. Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, and equipment to clean areas. May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions. Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods. QUALIFICATIONS Education Level High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Years of Experience Experience in the custodial field desirable.
