Teradata Architect

Akkodis is seeking Teradata Architect for a Contract job with a client in Plano TX //Charlotte NC and Jacksonville FL- ( 3 days onsite in a week)- Hybrid (3 days on site in a Week). Ideally looking for an architect with a solid background in the financial services industry will be plus.Pay: $75-77/hour – All Inclusive; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.The key responsibilities / deliverables are as follows (but not limited to):The Teradata Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance data solutions using Teradata technologies. This role involves defining enterprise data architecture strategies, creating data models, and ensuring optimal performance for analytics and reporting platforms. The architect collaborates with business stakeholders, data engineers, and IT teams to deliver robust data platforms that support decision-making across the enterpriseKey ResponsibilitiesSolution Design ArchitectureLead the design and architecture of enterprise data warehouse solutions using Teradata.Develop integration strategies and performance optimization techniques.Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards and best practicesDevelop reusable Python scripts for automation, data transformation, and validationPlatform Strategy GovernanceEvaluate Teradata platform features and create technology roadmaps.Establish platform standards, integration patterns, and governance frameworks.Perform Proof of Concept (POC) for new capabilities and onboard pilot projects.Technical LeadershipProvide guidance on Teradata utilities (TPT, BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPump).Optimize queries, indexing, and workload management for high performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.Experience:At least 5 years of Experience in Teradata solutions.Strong background in Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) concepts, dimensional modeling, and performance tuning.Technical Expertise:Proficiency in Teradata tools and utilities (TPT, BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad).Advanced SQL skills and experience with ETL tools (Informatica, SAS DI).Familiarity with Teradata Vantage features like QueryGrid, NOS, and ClearScape Analytics.Hands-on coding experience in Python or similar scripting languagesCertifications:Teradata Certified Professional (preferred).Preferred QualificationsExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid architectures.Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and data governance frameworks.If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
