Job Description
Purpose
The General Laborer supports daily warehouse and production operations by ensuring accurate material handling, inventory control, and order fulfillment. This role is critical to maintaining material integrity, production flow, and on-time shipments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assign and stage raw materials for production work orders at designated operator pick points.
Receive materials back from production and verify all documentation is completed accurately.
Pick, verify, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
Validate orders prior to shipment to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Perform daily cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and work until issues are fully resolved.
Maintain material integrity throughout storage, movement, and processing.
Work closely with the Shipping & Receiving Manager to locate, receive, and properly put away incoming inventory.
Coordinate with production, packaging, and shipping teams to return WIP material to inventory once processing is complete.
Monitor and manage warehouse supply levels (labels, boxes, tape, shrink wrap, etc.).
Proactively notify management of material shortages or issues that could impact production or customer shipments.
Operate warehouse equipment as required (forklift training provided if not certified).
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to learn and effectively use inventory and warehouse management systems.
Forklift certified or willing to become forklift certified.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with warehouse, production, and shipping teams.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting materials and standing for extended periods.
Reliable, safety-conscious, and accountable in daily work.
Pay Range
$19 – $20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
