Latch-Key Teacher/Worker Part-Time

JOB TITLE: Latchkey Worker - Part-Time Salary Schedule: No Degree $11.08 per hour Bachelor's Degree $13.54 per hour Master's Degree $17.23 per hour FLSA: Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Principal TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and hours as communicated in the provisions of the proposed Part-Time Appointment Agreement.. QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent and academic competency in basic skills. Adequate strength and dexterity to perform all required tasks, including lifting, stooping, and bending. Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships Meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama statutes and State Board of Education regulations. Hold an AL Teacher or Substitute Certification REQUIRED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Understand and assist in upholding school rules, policies, and procedures of the Latchkey Program. Ability to operate necessary technology, including a computer and the Latchkey software. Assume the assigned administrative and financial responsibilities Foster a positive and social atmosphere, creating a relaxed extension of the school day. Respect the confidentiality of information about students and staff. Foster positive student attitudes toward citizenship, self-discipline, morality, and patriotism. Take all the necessary precautions to provide for the safety and welfare of students. Maintain a cooperative working relationship with school staff, parents, and the community. Plan and lead engaging activities Follow procedures for distributing snacks Be familiar with and follow Board of Education policies. Assume other reasonable job-related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor. EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
