As a Grill Cook you are responsible for encompassing our goal of providing each guest with a truly wonderful experience as well as:Preparing all food items to order, following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limitsEnsuring that guests' orders are properly portioned and ready to be servedDisinfecting and sanitizing cutting boards, worktables, grill and equipment by following all sanitation guidelinesRestocking items that were depleted during the shiftReviewing status of work and follow-up actions required with the ManagerCarrying equipment, food supplies, and utensils to and from work and storage areasEnsuring that foods are properly stored in containers and storage areas to prevent spoilageBecoming familiar with new menu items/dishesPerforming duties in other areas of kitchen as assigned At Ruby's Diner we challenge ourselves, and each other, to be the best.Requirements for this position are:Must be 18 years of age or olderMinimum of 2 years' restaurant industry experience working on the lineUnderstanding professional cooking and knife handling skillsAbility to work calmly and effectively under pressureAbility to take direction and work in a team environmentAbility to stand for extended periodsAbility to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysGraduate of a culinary institute, military school or formal on-the-job training preferredAbility to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and Team MembersFood handler's card requiredEFE Ruby's Diner, LLC. is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
