Job Title: Email DeveloperLocation: San Francisco, CA (PST preferred)Duration: September 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026Commitment: Approximately 10 hours per weekPortfolio: Required (website or PDF)⚠️ Mandatory Requirement: Please include a link or attached file of your work sample with your resume; applications without one will not be considered.What You'll Be Doing:Take ownership of and help scale an existing AI-enabled email development platform.Build and maintain modular email component libraries using MJML and/or HTML.Develop scalable workflows that translate Figma designs into production-ready email HTML.Support email development across Iterable and HubSpot.Improve email infrastructure, tooling, QA processes, and production efficiency.Ensure proper rendering across Gmail, Apple Mail, Outlook, iOS Mail, and other major email clients.Support accessibility, dark mode, personalization, and potentially international/localized email templates.Partner closely with Design, MarTech, and Engineering teams.Create documentation and help establish scalable processes for the broader team.What We're Looking For:6–8+ years of email development experience.Strong expertise in HTML/CSS email development and MJML.Experience with Iterable and/or HubSpot or similar marketing automation platforms.Experience building email component libraries, design systems, or scalable email infrastructure.Strong understanding of cross-client email rendering, particularly Outlook.Experience with dark mode, QA/testing, and email accessibility.Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.Experience with high-volume email programs reaching hundreds of thousands or millions of users is highly desirable.Experience with AI-enabled tooling, Figma-to-code workflows, personalization, or international/CJK localization is a plus.The ideal person is not just someone who codes individual email campaigns, but someone who has experience building scalable systems and tooling that make email production faster, more consistent, and easier to manage.
