Job SummaryThe Fullstack Python Engineer will develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance Python-based applications while providing hands-on production support across application, database, network, and infrastructure layers. The role will operate as part of a Tier 2 Operations team, with a strong focus on Python development, debugging, automated testing with pytest, Azure and AKS/Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and structured incident and root-cause analysis. The engineer will independently resolve production issues where possible and collaborate with development, delivery, infrastructure, and platform teams when escalation is required.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance Python-based applications.Investigate production issues by analyzing application code, logs, stack traces, and runtime behavior.Identify and implement Python bug fixes and production patches.Write and execute automated tests using pytest to validate fixes and prevent regressions.Troubleshoot application issues following production deployments and releases.Analyze application performance, memory utilization, exceptions, and unexpected application behavior.Collaborate with development and delivery teams to understand application architecture and resolve complex issues.Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.Determine whether issues can be resolved within the Operations team or require escalation to the original development or delivery team.Contribute to application reliability, maintainability, and operational readiness.Support and troubleshoot production applications running on Microsoft Azure and AKS.Investigate infrastructure-related issues affecting application availability and performance.Troubleshoot PostgreSQL connectivity and connection capacity issues, including connection optimization and capacity increases.Diagnose network connectivity issues between applications, databases, services, and infrastructure components.Troubleshoot Kubernetes/AKS workloads and resource-related issues, including CPU and memory utilization.Support production deployments and perform post-deployment troubleshooting.Investigate issues across application, database, network, and infrastructure layers to identify root causes.Perform basic infrastructure configuration and management as required.Collaborate with infrastructure and platform teams when issues require deeper infrastructure expertise.Work as part of a Tier 2 Operations team and take ownership of complex application and production issues.Perform structured troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.Resolve production issues independently wherever possible rather than immediately escalating.Provide timely fixes and workarounds for production incidents.Escalate issues to appropriate development or delivery teams when significant application changes are required or issues fall outside the scope of T2 Operations.Document incident findings, root causes, fixes, and preventive actions.Identify recurring issues and recommend permanent engineering solutions.Required QualificationsStrong hands-on experience with Python development.Experience as a Full Stack Python Engineer or Software Engineer with production support responsibilities.Strong ability to read, debug, troubleshoot, and modify existing Python code.Experience writing and maintaining automated tests using pytest.Strong understanding of software engineering principles and application architecture.Experience supporting applications in production environments.Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and AKS/Kubernetes.Experience with PostgreSQL, particularly troubleshooting connectivity, connections, and performance issues.Good understanding of networking and application connectivity.Experience troubleshooting production issues across application code, databases, networks, and infrastructure.Experience working in Tier 2 or Tier 3 Operations or Production Support environments is highly desirable.Preferred QualificationsExperience with REST APIs and web application development.Experience with Docker and containerized applications.Experience with CI/CD and production deployment processes.Familiarity with cloud-native application architectures.Experience with monitoring, logging, observability, and application performance troubleshooting.Experience working in a DevOps or Agile environment.
